Cikgo is currently on Internal Technical Preview, restricted to select instructors only. This means trying to create an account in Cikgo directly from the sign-in page won’t work.

If you want to invite students & instructors to your course, you can do so by following instructions in this document.

If you don’t have an account, or otherwise want to invite other instructors to be able to create their own courses, contact us.

Users in a course have three roles: Student, Instructor, and Owner, in ascending access levels. Owners can do anything to a course. Instructors can manage stories, conversations, and view other users in a course. Students can only access their own chat rooms in a course. When you create a course, you are the Owner by default. You can’t change your own role.

To start inviting users to your course, navigate to the “Invite users” dialog.

Once the dialog opens, you can start adding the email addresses of who you want to invite to your course, regardless of whether or not they already have an account in Cikgo.

A user’s name in a course follows their Cikgo account’s name.

Follow the tip to work with multiple rows more efficiently, just like how you would in a typical spreadsheet applications. The role of multiple rows created by pasting multiple lines of email addresses or pressing Enter follows that of the row from which said actions were done.

Once you’re ready, click “Clean up & check” to remove any blank rows and start checking for the invitees accounts in Cikgo.
